RF BT products
Bluetooth is a new generation of low-cost, low-power, short-range wireless connection technology standards, is an open specification for data and voice wireless transmission.
The goal of Bluetooth technology is to develop a globally unified open wireless connectivity technology standard that enables mobile phones, laptops, PDAs, dial-up networks, printers, fax machines, digital cameras, and other data and voice devices to follow this technical standard. The interconnection forms a personal area wireless communication network, so that various information devices within its scope can realize seamless resource sharing, and the open wireless connection technology standard is named BLUETOOTH, that is, "Bluetooth".
For Bluetooth-based wireless products, the Bluetooth function is divided into two parts, classic Bluetooth and low-power Bluetooth or BLE.
Classic Bluetooth (commonly referred to as BT2.0, BT2.1, BT2.1+EDR (BDR+EDR), BT3.0 (BDR+EDR), etc.) for voice transmission, BLE (commonly known as BT 4.0 Single mode) is applied to data transmission.
The single mode of 4.0 may only be BLE, while the single mode of 4.1 and 4.2 may be BLE, which may be classic.
Classic Bluetooth has a frequency range of 2402-2480MHz, a total of 79 channels, channel spacing of 1MHz, using Frequency-hopping Spreader (FHSS), BLE frequency range of 2402-2480MHz, a total of 40 channels, channel spacing of 2MHz
Glossary
EDR: Fully called Enhanced Data Rate. By improving the ability of multitasking and the simultaneous operation of multiple Bluetooth devices, EDR enables Bluetooth devices to transmit at speeds up to 3 Mbps.
BLE: Fully known as Bluetooth Low Energy. One of the most important features of Bluetooth Specification 4.0 is low power consumption. BLE enables Bluetooth devices to be powered by a coin cell battery for years of continuous operation. Clearly, BLE enables Bluetooth devices to have extremely bright applications in markets such as timepieces, remote controls, healthcare and motion sensors.
This section is only for the classic Bluetooth description.
